Thales Alenia Space, specialised in designing, integrating, testing and delivering globally cutting edge space systems & solutions, is recruiting 270 employees by the end of June. The group is recruiting 150 employees at its site of Toulouse, which specialises in the manufacture of payloads, navigation and altimeters, and 120 at its plant of Cannes. By mid-May, about 228 new staff had been recruited and a further 42 positions will be filled by end of June. A second wave of recruitment is expected in September. Furthermore, the increasing activities at Thales Alenia Space is having an impact on its subcontractors, which will recruit 700 employees in 2016. Thales Alenia Space has 7,500 employees worldwide and 4,800 in France. The recruitment drive was announced following increases in orders in 2015 (for €3 billion) and the company expects to increase its turnover by a further 10% to reach a turnover of €2.3 billion in 2016.
