IT software and service company TietoEVRY is planning to cut 150 jobs in Norway, as part of its post-merger integration process after Tieto acquired EVRY in 2019. The cuts will affect up to 550 jobs globally. In addition to 150 employees in Norway, TietoEVRY plans to cut up to 160 positions in Sweden, 90 in Finland and 150 in other countries. In a press release, the CEO of the company states that the aim of the restructuring is to enhance the company's competitiveness. The company has initiated consultations with the unions and states that the process will be conducted according to the legislation and practices of each country, and that the company is committed to doing everything it can to support the affected employees.
The process is expected to be concluded by the end of 2020.
