European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The town council of Estepona, a province located in the region of Andalusia, has applied for a redundancy procedure affecting 176 employees. The measure will imply the closure of an education centre for old people and a school of citizen safety.
It is reported that no civil servant will be dismissed. The measure is blamed on the need to reduce the budget deficit of the town council.
