The French subsidiary of the German tour operator TUI announced a reorganisation at a Social and Economic Committee (ESC) meeting that will lead to cut of 317 to 583 positions. This announcement is part of a global reorganisation announced by the group which aims to eliminate 8,000 positions worldwide.
According to the management, the project provides for the elimination of 317 posts, excluding the potential impact in the integrated branch network. In the event of the closure of these agencies, the impact would amount to 583 positions.
The employees of the tour operator, number one in Europe, are on short-time working since mid-March until mid-September. The Group has approximately 850 employees with permanent contracts in France.
