Description
Valtiokonttori, the Finnish state treasury, has announced redundancies of up 70 of its 500 staff due to anticipated budget cuts in 2014. The agency, responsible for many of the financial transactions of the Finnish government, faces 4.5 million Euros of budget cuts for 2014 but vital activities as the government debt management and payment traffic will be excluded from the restructuring. Negotiations with the employee representatives have already been initiated and are expected to be concluded by the end of August 2013.
