Additional Information

The paper mill W. Hamburger announced the closure of its production site in Frohnleiten on 30 April 2013, making all 100 employees redundant.

The reason for the closure is over capacities on the European paper market and increased international competition. Over the last 15 months, losses have been made. The factory, which is close to Graz, produces recycled corrugated base papers and was taken over by the German Hamburger group in February 2010.

The employees will be offered a social plan within a re-employment scheme.
