Additional Information

The German driveline and chassis manufacturer ZF Friedrichshafen reorganises its business in France and has announced the dismissal of 128 employees from its plants in Florange and Saint-Etienne in early 2010.

55 out of 277 workers will be dismissed from the site in Saint-Etienne. This is due to a drop in turnover by 40% over the last two years. Employee representatives have claimed that those workers affected by the restructuring should be offered jobs in the nearby ZF plant in Andrézieux-Bouthéon where 440 people are employed.

In Florange, 73 out of 263 employees are concerned. According to management, 58 jobs are to be reduced through voluntary departures.

In 2009, ZF had already closed its site in the Oise department (13514) and reduced its workforce in Vendôme by 133 (15135).
