Polish producer of sweets and confectionery, ZPC Otmuchów (Zakład Przemysłu Cukierniczego Otmuchów), announced it will cut 80 jobs by the end of May. The company was founded over 50 years ago and is part of Otmuchów Capital Group.
According to the source, the company will reduce its workforce by 11% (the equivalent of 80 jobs). The restructuring is part of a larger restructuring programme that will also see the closure of the production facility in Gorzyczki (Silesian Voivodeship). The activities at Gorzyczki will be relocated to the plant in Otmuchów (Opole Voivodeship). The restructuring is part of cost-saving measures.
In April, the company signed a bilateral agreement with the local trade unions setting out the conditions of the redundancies.
