In case of collective dismissals (at least 5 dismissals in companies with more than 15 staff over a 120 day-period), dismissed employees have a priority right during the six months following the dismissal if the company intends to hire workers. According to the prevailing interpretation, however, the priority right does only operate in case of recruitments connected to the performance of the same task previously carried out by dismissed workers.
