Under the Finnish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health is holding a 'High-level conference to highlight the 'Economy of well-being' and examine the two-way relationship between well-being and the economy.
The conference aims to generate cross-sectoral dialogue on various themes for use in the forthcoming Council conclusions on the 'Economy of well-being'.
Tadas Leončikas, Research Manager at Eurofound’s Social policies unit has prepared a background paper for the conference on the 'Role of health and care services in improving well-being and economic performance: Perspectives from the European Quality of Life Survey'.
