Eurofound publishes its work in a range of publication formats to match audience needs and the nature of the output. These include flagship reports on a particular area of activity, research reports summarising the findings of a research project and policy briefs presenting policy pointers from research projects or facts and figures relevant to policy debates. Also included are blog articles, regular articles on working life in Europe, presentations, working papers providing background material to ongoing or already concluded research, and reports arising from ad hoc requests by policymakers. Other corporate publications include annual reports, brochures and promotional publications.   • EMCC dossier on the crisis in the steel sector

    /On 13 February 2003 the European Parliament (EP) adopted a resolution on the crisis in the steel sector and the measures to be taken at Community level. This was against the background of Arcelor's announcement of restructuring plans throughout the group's continental sites. The Parliament calls on the Commission and EU Member States to promote innovation in this sector and to develop new actions aimed at specialisation as well as quality.   • Corporate social responsibility: A business contribution to sustainable development

    The Communication constitutes a follow-up to the 2001 Green Paper, 'Promoting a European Framework for Corporate Social Responsibility' . It presents the proposal from the Commission for a strategy to promote CSR in July 2001. The Green Paper defined CSR as 'a concept whereby companies integrate social and environmental concerns in their business operations and in their interaction with their stakeholders on a voluntary basis.' Companies are increasingly aware that such responsible behaviour leads to sustainable business success. The Paper also recognised that CRS is about managing change in a socially responsible manner.
