Background
The aim of the event was to discuss recent findings on industrial relations presented by the European Commission in its 2006 report on Industrial Relations in Europe and by the European Foundation in its Annual Review of Industrial Relations Developments in Europe 2006. The reports constitute a useful information tool for policy-makers, practitioners and academic experts, providing an overview of the main EU industrial relations developments and trends.
Objectives
The meeting focused on membership trends and strategies of social partner organisations and on career development and precariousness from a gender perspective. It concluded with a celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the European Industrial Relations Observatory (EIRO), the industrial relations monitoring tool of the Foundation.
