English language version of the questionnaire for the 3rd European Quality of Life Survey which was carried out in 2011-2012. It was used as the source questionnaire for the translation of the 38 language versions for the 34 countries where the survey took place.

/The fourth in a series of nationwide surveys on the business environment and
reality for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) was conducted by the
Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth and Statistics Sweden in
2011. The survey examined the situation of SMEs, the opportunities for growth
and perceived threats to growth. Over 19,000 SME owners gave their views on
topics such as growth, competition, regulations, internationalisation and
access to finance./

In October 2012, the Norwegian government submitted to parliament a bill,
Changes to the law on public procurement (Government oversight of regulations
on wages and working conditions in public contracts) [1].

The deteriorating employment situation in France has prompted France’s
Minister of Labour, Michel Sapin, to bring unions and business leaders
together to discuss ways of reforming the country’s labour market.

The Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition government in the UK has outlined
areas in which it is to consult on proposed changes to employment law. The
changes form part of a deregulatory drive by the government which it hopes
will reduce the burden on business and stimulate economic growth. As part of
the review, it plans to make changes to the employment tribunal system.

In June 2012, the Confederation of British Industry (CBI [1]) and
international training provider Pearson [2] published findings from their
fifth annual UK Education and skills survey (6.56Mb PDF) [3]. The survey is
based on responses from 542 British companies employing a total of 1.6
million workers, and was conducted between January and February 2012.
Responses came from businesses of all sizes, a range of sectors and different
regions.
