The health and well-being of individuals are two dimensions around which researchers and policymakers are re-arranging the debate on how to foster the progress of societies. Health and well-being have an intrinsic value, which should be part of the very definition of progress, and also a societal one because of their direct connection with issues such as labour force participation, productivity and sustainability. The aim of this report is to contribute to this debate, building on Eurofound’s European Working Conditions Surveys(EWCS), which have proven to be a valuable source of information on the topic since the early 1990s. Offering a very detailed view of working conditions, the surveys provide the unique opportunity to study the relationship of work with many health dimensions and, in the fifth EWCS, with a measure of emotional and psychological well-being of individuals.

    Sănătatea şi starea de bine la locul de muncă: un raport bazat pe cel de-al cincilea Sondaj european privind condiţiile de muncă

    Autor(i):
    Eurofound
    Sănătatea şi starea de bine sunt teme principale ale dezbaterii privind îmbunătăţirea vieţii indivizilor în societatea umană. Acestea sunt direct legate de participarea , productivitatea şi sustenabilitatea forţei de muncă. Deoarece munca este esenţială pentru sănătate şi starea de bine, acest raport analizează relaţiile dintre aceşti factori şi condiţiile de muncă ale lucrătorilor europeni, pornind de la rezultatele celui de-al cincilea Sondaj european privind condiţiile de muncă (EWCS). Acesta analizează stresul şi mediul de lucru psihosocial în legătură cu starea de sănătate, precum afecţiunile musculo-scheletice şi sănătatea psihică. De asemenea, examinează calitatea muncii şi siguranţa locului de muncă şi legăturile acestora cu starea de bine, precum şi prevalenţa absenteismului şi prezenteismului. Raportul menţionează diferenţe mari ale nivelurilor de sănătate şi stare de bine între ţări, precum şi între indivizi şi caracteristicile locurilor de muncă.
