This report studies practices in EU establishments for direct and indirect employee participation in decision-making. Indirect employee participation is the involvement of employee representatives in decision-making processes, while direct employee participation describes direct interaction between employers and employees. The study builds on the survey data from the Eurofound Third European Company Survey Overview report and focuses on how direct and indirect employee participation are related to each other and to national-level industrial relations characteristics. It establishes which practices of employee participation are beneficial both for the establishment and the employees. It finds that more extensive forms of direct and indirect employee participation are associated with positive establishment outcomes.

    V tejto správe sa skúmajú postupy v podnikoch EÚ v prípade priamej a nepriamej participácie zamestnancov na rozhodovaní. Nepriama participácia zamestnancov znamená účasť zástupcov zamestnancov na rozhodovacích procesoch a priama participácia zamestnancov predstavuje priamu interakciu medzi zamestnávateľmi a zamestnancami. Štúdia je založená na údajoch zo súhrnnej správy nadácie Eurofound týkajúcej sa tretieho európskeho prieskumu podnikov so zameraním na to, aká je vzájomná súvislosť medzi priamou a nepriamou participáciou zamestnancov a charakteristikami pracovnoprávnych vzťahov na vnútroštátnej úrovni. Uvádza sa v nej, ktoré postupy participácie zamestnancov sú prínosné pre podnik i pre zamestnancov. Konštatuje sa v nej, že rozšírenejšie formy priamej a nepriamej participácie zamestnancov sa spájajú s pozitívnymi výsledkami podniku.
