Social convergence has gained an equal footing alongside economic convergence as an EU goal in the wake of the economic crisis. This report presents the results of a study into convergence in working conditions, a major component of social policymaking. It examines whether working conditions have improved over the past two decades in the EU as a whole and whether dissimilarities between Member States in this area have narrowed. The study includes analyses of both the trends and drivers of convergence plus expert interview data on two policy instruments that have the potential to promote convergence. Findings indicate upward convergence in working conditions overall, but uneven progress across Member States.

    Vzostupná konvergencia pracovných podmienok

    Author(s):
    Eurofound

    V dôsledku hospodárskej krízy sa sociálna konvergencia ako cieľ EÚ dostala na rovnakú úroveň ako hospodárska konvergencia. V tejto správe sa uvádzajú výsledky štúdie konvergencie pracovných podmienok, ktoré sú významnou súčasťou tvorby sociálnej politiky. Skúma sa v nej, či sa počas posledných dvoch desaťročí podarilo zlepšiť pracovné podmienky v EÚ ako celku a či sa rozdiely medzi členskými štátmi v tejto oblasti zmenšili. Súčasťou štúdie je aj analýza trendov a stimulov konvergencie, ako aj údaje z rozhovorov s odborníkmi o dvoch politických nástrojoch, ktoré majú potenciál podporiť konvergenciu. Zo zistení vyplýva celková vzostupná konvergencia pracovných podmienok, avšak aj rozdielny pokrok dosiahnutý v členských štátoch.
