This study provides information designed to aid sectoral social dialogue in the electricity sector. The study is divided into three parts: a summary of the sector’s economic and employment background; an analysis of the social partner organisations in all EU Member States, with emphasis on their membership, their role in collective bargaining, social dialogue and public policy, and their national and European affiliations; and finally, an analysis of the relevant European organisations, particularly their membership composition and their capacity to negotiate. The aim of Eurofound's series of representativeness studies is to identify the relevant national and supranational social partner organisations in the field of industrial relations in selected sectors. The impetus for these studies arises from the European Commission’s desire to recognise the representative social partner organisations to be consulted under the provisions of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU).

Avtor(-ji):EurofoundNamen te študije je zagotoviti potrebne informacije za spodbujanje sektorskega socialnega dialoga v elektroenergetskem sektorju. V njej sta najprej orisana ekonomsko in zaposlitveno ozadje sektorja, nato pa so predstavljene organizacije socialnih partnerjev v vseh državah članicah EU (članstvo, vloga pri kolektivnih pogajanjih, socialni dialog in javna politika ter nacionalna in evropska združenja). Na koncu so analizirane zadevne evropske organizacije, zlasti z vidika njihove sestave članov in zmožnosti za pogajanja. Vrsta študij o reprezentativ-nosti, ki jih je izvedla Evropska opazovalnica industrijskih odnosov (EIRO), je namenjena opredelitvi ustreznih nacionalnih in nadnacionalnih organizacij socialnih partnerjev na pod-ročju odnosov med delavci in delodajalci v izbranih sektorjih, kar izhaja iz ciljev Evropske komisije za prepoznavo reprezentativnih združenj socialnih partnerjev, s katerimi se je treba posvetovati v skladu z določbami Pogodbe o delovanju evropske unije (PDEU).
