Estonia: Bus drivers' wages rise by 14%

Bus drivers’ wages rose by 14.3% in Estonia, from April 2015, and they now have an agreed minimum wage of at least €800 per month.

Bus drivers in Estonia received an overall wage rise of 14.3%, effective  from April 2015, after a new sectoral agreement was concluded by employers’ organisation, the Union of Estonian Automobile Enterprises (AL) and the Transport and Road Workers’ Trade Union (ETTA).

The agreement, which covers 14,000 employees in passenger transport, also provides for a minimum wage of at least €800 per month for bus drivers (in Estonian). Transport is one of two sectors in Estonia where sectoral collective agreements have been concluded for more than 20 years.
