Sammanfattning

Innovations in work organisation have the potential to optimise production processes in companies and improve employees’ overall experience of work. This report explores the links between innovations in work organisation – under the broader label of high performance work practices (HPWPs) – and the potential benefits for both employees and organisations. It draws on empirical evidence from case studies carried out in 13 Member States (Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, UK) of the European Union where workplace innovations have resulted in positive outcomes.     Innovationer i arbetsorganisation kan optimera produktionsprocesserna i företag och förbättra de anställdas allmänna upplevelser av arbetet. I den här rapporten utforskas sambanden mellan förändringar av arbetsorganisationen – högpresterande arbetssystem – och fördelarna för såväl anställda som organisationer. Den bygger på en analys av fallstudier som gjorts i 13 medlemsstater i Europeiska unionen, där arbetsplatsinnovationer har gett positiva resultat. Högpresterande arbetssystem som bygger på slimmad administration, teamarbete, flexibla arbetsmetoder, omgörning av arbetsplatser och medverkan från arbetstagarnas sida var de system som oftast hade samband med större produktivitet i företaget, bättre servicekvalitet och minskade driftskostnader.
