Interest Group on Carers and the Intergroup on Ageing joint meeting, 27 March 2012, Brussels, Belgium

Venue: European Parliament, Brussels

Objectives

This joint meeting is organised by the Interest Group on Carers (AGE-Platform Europe) and the Intergroup on Ageing (European Parliament). This meeting aims to celebrate the current 2012 Year of Active Ageing and Solidarity between the Generations. The objectives of this joint meeting can be summarised as follows:

  • to be informed and discuss the current state of play, organisation and planned activities of the European Year of Active Ageing and Solidarity between the Generations
  • to explore how carers and their interests feature in the Year and how a strong carers dimension can be ensured, also in the Conclusions which will be formulated at the end of the Year

Eurofound contribution

Eurofound will contribute to the event with a presentation by Robert Anderson on 'Carers: an example of solidarity between the generations'.
