Multistakeholder partnerships are essential for ensuring that the green transition is not only environmentally sound but also socially just. This policy brief investigates how relevant actors (national and regional authorities, the social partners and civil society organisations), using a partnership approach, pursue the green just transition in the regions covered by the territorial just transition plans. Based on case studies in eight countries, it examines how these actors perceive the just transition and identifies partnership practices that work or that need improvement. The policy brief and the related working paper also explore how the regions see their future partnership for a green just transition in 2035 and 2050 and the policy options available.
