On 16 and 17 November 2022, the Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion of the European Commission organised its inaugural annual flagship event in Brussels, the European Employment & Social Rights Forum.

The theme of this year’s Forum was the social dimension of the green transition and was a unique meeting point for opinion and decision makers to discuss current issues around European employment and social affairs.

The cost of living is currently the number one concern for people across the EU. With energy supplies becoming a priority due to the war in Ukraine, people are focused on paying their bills. If the European Union is to meet its climate ambitions, the right policies need to be in place to ensure that the transition is socially just and full of opportunities.

National and European decision makers and leading experts were invited to take stock of measures already taken and explore thought-provoking solutions for the future.

Eurofound Research Manager Daniel Molinuevo spoke on the panel 'Ensuring equal access to quality care services' at 11:40 – 12:25 (CEST) on 17 November.

The Forum was a hybrid event, with speakers and participants in Brussels (The Egg/Rue Bara 175), and online.
