Eurofound’s annual ‘ Visit of EU Heads of Mission in Ireland’ is an opportunity to present ‘Living and working in Europe: Current research findings and priorities of Eurofound’, with welcome addresses from H.E. Karen Van Vlierberge, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Ireland and Eurofound’s Executive Director, Ivailo Kalfin.
The two-hour event sees Eurofound experts share priorities for 2024 including highlights such as the European Working Conditions Survey, changes in labour shortages and job quality, evolving work structures such as telework, non-standard employment forms and the self-employed and sustainable work, as well as strategies to retain workers in employment longer. Issues linked to housing, care, gender inequalities, social protection and the longer structural impact of the COVID-19 pandemic also feature.
This annual event brings together the Ambassadors of EU Member States in Ireland, Heads of both the Representation of the European Commission and the European Parliament Office in Ireland, as well as representatives from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Eurofound’s Ireland-based Management Board members.
