The number of self-employed people in Belgium has risen by 14,276 since 2013, according to a new report.

A report in Unizo Vers, an online newspaper for the self-employed, says that since 2013 the number of self-employed people in Belgium has risen by 14,276 and that there has been a 10% increase in the number of wage-earners with a second job (in Dutch). One explanation for this is that people often start their own business in their spare time to test its viability. The trend may also be due to the increasing number of part-time jobs and the growing opportunities for e-commerce.
