Young people in the EU
There are over 68 million young people (aged 15-29) in the European Union.
Most of these young people are either in some form of education or are working.
However, 9 million young people are not in employment, education or training (NEET).
While many NEETs are actively seeking employment, a substantial number are deemed to be inactive.
