Employment Options and Labour Market Participation

The Employment Options of the Future suvey was undertaken during the summer of 1998. More than 30,000 persons aged between 16 to 64 years from 16 European countries were interviewed about their current employment status, their working conditions and their preferences. Focusing on the issue of labour market participation, and the nature of that participation, this report (from the survey) looks at patterns of work, working arrangements, and the personal preferences of new entrants and re-entrants to the workforce.
