Report of the First Coordination Meeting on Employment and Health
Published: 4 May 2006
The rise of unemployment and the changes in employment practices and conditions in Europe have led to the development of the Foundation's project on employment and health. Many countries of the EU have high rates of unemployment which have proven consequences for ill health. In addittion very little is known about how changes in the structure of employment and the patterns in particular workplaces might affect the health of workers throughout the EU. This report summarises a coordination meeting held in Brussels which determined the need for research on this subject and the type of research which might influence policy makers.
