European cities – at the cutting-edge of integration

European cities attract migrants from all over the world, putting cities in the frontline for integrating migrants and ensuring social cohesion. And, while immigration policy is largely decided at national level, when integration fails, it is often cities – at the municipal level – that must deal with the consequences. This fact sheet forms part of the Eurofound resource pack on ‘East, west, home is best? Migration in Europe’. The pack explores the issue of migration, providing insights from the perspective of Member States, cities and workers.
