Professional education and training for sustainable development in Italy

The contribution of SMEs to the Italian economic system is crucial: more than 99% of the Italian enterprises are SMEs and more than 80% of GNP is produced by enterprises with a turnover lower than 50 Million Euro. Construction, textiles, metal, wood, electrical, mechanics, food are the most important manufacturing sectors. Agriculture and services show an even higher presence of small and micro enterprises.
