Analysing and anticipating change to support socio-economic progress
Published: 26 August 2012
The seventh 4-year programme of the Foundation, aims both to provide continuity, building on the expertise established over the past 25 years, and innovation, exploring new and emerging issues and addressing the societal changes and the continuing challenge to improve living and working conditions. To achieve this, the Foundation needs to undertake both monitoring activities (on-going research) and strategic research. The latter must be reactive, responding to the information needs of social actors in the EU context, and proactive, driven by changes and trends on the ground. The Foundation will undertake both quantitative and qualitative research in order to identify and analyse situations and changes and on this basis put forward ideas for strategies to improve living and working conditions.
