Environmental economic policies: competitiveness and employment (Conference report)
Published: 26 August 2012
Environmental economic instruments offer a means to monetize the basis of policy decisions while allowing industry and individuals to choose how to respond. This is a report of the conference on 'Environmental Economic Policies: Competitiveness and Employment', organised by the Foundation as part of its programme on Employment and Sustainability. Advisors to industrial and political leaders were invited to expose the evidence and reasoning behind their views on environmental economic instruments, to each other and to representatives of union, NGOs and researchers, who also assessed and compared the impacts of existing policies on competitiveness and employment.
