Research report
Abstract
Scientific and public debate have focused on group work as the central component of direct participation. This report is the result of the analysis of the data in the EPOC survey on the nature and extent of the delegation of decision making to work groups or teams in European workplaces. It gives, for the first time, a comprehensive overview of the implementation, scope, effects and country comparisons of this form of direct employee participation in European workplaces.
