Innovative work organisation operating in a global context

This report present a synthesis of the deliberations of the Fifth European Ecology of Work Conference which was held at the Foundation in Dublin, Ireland. For the past 20 years Ecology of Work conferences have been regular events in North America and have aimed to contribute to the improvement of productivity, competitiveness and the quality of working life. The 'ecology of work' term refers to the design of work systems which optimise both people-outcomes and business-outcomes. Such work systems emphasise participation, teamwork and cooperative problem solving to achieve increased performance and productivity.
