Abstract
What is the extent of direct participation? To what degree can employees influence the organisation of work or control their working environment? In order to answer these and other questions the Foundation undertook a postal survey of European management during the Autumn of 1996. This summary highlights how the first results of the analysis of the survey, give a comprehensive overview of the implementation and effects of direct employee participation within the European Union.
