The role of the social partners in sustainable development (Conference report)

In February 1999, the Foundation brought together representatives of European social partners, governments and NGOs in Dublin to discuss the future role of the social partners in sustainable development and how the Foundation could assist them in this area. Summarised in this report are the main presentations made at the conference as well as the outcome of separate roundtable and panel discussions. A comprehensive list of recommendations emerged from the two days of deliberation and these will feed directly into the preparations for the Foundation's next four year rolling programme, 2001-2004.
