Intangible forefront of hyperinnovations in cities: an epilogue to the project on urban innovations

An epilogue to the Foundation's project on urban innovations, this short report serves both to introduce new theoretical and conceptual perspectives on urban innovation and to recapitulate the main general themes of the research - cities are the locus of invention and innovations; the importance of proper planning and considered implementation to the successful harnessing of the power of an innovation; and the essential role of participation in fostering innovation. It highlights the most innovative projects of the European Overview and complements them with some innovative projects from outside the EU.
