In 2014, the Research and Higher Education Monitoring and Analysis Centre (MOSTA) developed a concept of the qualification (skills) map and used it to conduct a preliminary analysis of  the qualifications map. The aim was to assess the labour market situation of graduates in different fields of studies. This cross-cutting analysis presents the labour market situation of graduates from various fields of studies. The analysis is broken down by the following factors: length of recruitment, pay for work, distribution of pay between the public and private sectors, inter-regional migration, employment rate, gender pay gaps, and other characteristics of graduates. The analytical process of the preliminary analysis involved 2012–2013 data on 75 thousand persons working in Lithuania.

In May, the MOSTA published the preliminary analysis of the Qualifications (Skills) Map. The analysis reviews the labour market integration of 2012–2013 graduates from colleges and universities in Lithuania. According to the analysis, the employability of graduates is above the average employment rate in Lithuania. Graduates in mathematical and computer sciences were found to be the most successful in the labour market: they find jobs sooner and earn more compared to the average graduate in Lithuania. Holders of a master’s degree in pharmacy and dentistry demonstrate perfect results in labour market anchoring. Holders of a bachelor’s degree in law show lower employability and earn less than the average graduate in Lithuania, but the employability and pay rates of those with a master’s degree in law are above Lithuania’s average. Graduates from engineering, technology, business and management, communication, medicine and health, and social sciences also find jobs quickly.
