Description
Gambro Czech Republic, which manufactures products for dialysis treatment, is to close its Přerov plant by the end of October 2017 due to a significant drop in sales in recent years. More than 600 people will lose their jobs.
The parent company Baxter International will help the dismissed employees to cope with the restructuring. Support includes the payment of statutory severance pay, plus the so-called additional voluntary severance pay according to the length of employment with Baxter. And if necessary, different forms of counselling or training are also available. Also, for the Gambro employees, a meeting with representatives of nearly a hundred companies was organised at the local job fair .
