Description

On 29 October 2009, oil company Shell announced that in the remaining months of 2009 5,000 jobs will be scrapped worldwide. 800 of the redundancies will occur in the Netherlands. Especially managerial employees will be hit by the restructuring. Some 15,000 job functions will be changed or scrapped. These employees will have to apply for a new function, eventually resulting in a loss of 5,000 jobs.
