Description

Entertainment rental and retail company Xtra Vision has closed its stores with a provisional liquidator being appointed. The company employs 580 people in Ireland. All employment will be terminated but some staff may be able to transfer to other companies operated by parent company Hilco (such as HMV).

Xtra Vision has 72 stores left in the country. Hilco said Xtra-vision’s turnover in 2015 declined “very significantly and very suddenly” which led to it seeking formal wind up of the company at the courts.
