Following the outbreak of the Russian military actions, Lidl Lietuva announced that it was ready to employ 150 refugees who had to leave their country Ukraine because of the war. The retail chain will offer Ukrainians jobs in 50 Lidl stores in different regions of Lithuania, as well as in a logistics centre in Kaunas. Different job positions may be offered to Ukrainians also at the head office in Vilnius, depending on their qualifications. Lidl will also give €100 Lidl gift cards to the new employees. As other employees, they will receive private supplementary health insurance and financial supplements.
