Description
Tivoli is a amusement park in Copenhagen which has experienced a severe economic downturn due to the Corona-crisis and lockdown. Tivoli expected to cut 440 employees, but has managed to lower the dismissals to 233 in dialogue with relevant trade unions. The number was brought down by voluntary resignations, natural expiration of temporary contracts and flexible planning of work schedules among the permanent and seasonal staff. The lack of tourists due to travel restrictions has hurt the amusement park. The company expects a yearly deficit in 2020 to be around 100 million DK despite support and compensation packages from the state.
