Abstract

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, young Europeans face many obstacles in their path to independence, including securing employment, the rise in cost of living and the inability to leave the family home. This report builds on recent Eurofound survey data to explore the lives of young people in the EU, focusing on their hopes and plans for the future, and circumstances that might help or hinder the fulfilment of these plans. The report also provides a preliminary review of how the reinforced Youth Guarantee has created opportunities for young people.
