Impact of minimum wage policies on low-paid jobs
Expected publication: August 2026
This report examines the long-term effects of minimum wage policies on employment structures across the EU-27 over the past two decades. It systematically analyses how changes in sectoral and occupational employment patterns are linked to these policies. By taking a broader and longer-term perspective, the report provided additional depth to existing research, which can often focus more on immediate impacts for specific groups, such as young or low-skilled workers, rather than structural shifts and wider labour market dynamics.
