The EU stands in solidarity with Ukraine, a solidarity that is unwavering and not only manifest in political, humanitarian, financial and military support to the country, but also the everyday support and assistance that EU citizens provide to Ukrainians fleeing the war.
Speaking on the one-year anniversary of the beginning of the war, Eurofound Executive Director Ivailo Kalfin emphasised that support for Ukraine is not just something to be found at government or political level, but can be seen in communities throughout the Union,
‘We have not only seen quick adaptation from governments and the European Union, but also overwhelming public support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. This is unwavering and speaks volumes about the people of Europe and the values of the European Union.’
