The European Social Network (ESN) is organising a seminar on the social service workforce. The seminar takes place on 15-16 November in Bratislava, Slovakia, in cooperation with the Slovak Presidency of the EU.
This seminar will tackle key issues for the modern social services workforce. It will be focussing on social workers and social care professionals working in all areas of social services – from child protection to services for people with disabilities and older people. In addition to mobility, recruitment and training, It will be exploring the role of new technology for planning and training, joint work between professionals, and the workforce’s role in quality.
European experts, policymakers, local, national and regional governments, social workers and social carers will be coming together to discuss the planning, and management of social services.
Eurofound contribution to the seminar
Robert Anderson, Head of Living Conditions and Quality of Life unit, will contribute to Session 4: How will workforce planning have to adapt to future population needs? at 12:00 on 16 November and discuss the topic with other experts in the field.
