On 23 February 2015, employers and unions met to set the agenda for national social dialogue in 2015. At present, no national agreements are scheduled for the current year, but a number of evaluations and consultations are planned. All eight nationally representative social partner organisations (Medef, CGPME and UPA for the employers; CFTC, CFE-CGC, CFDT, CGT and FO for the unions) agreed on a qualitative and quantitative evaluation of two major national cross-sectoral agreements: the 2008 agreement on modernising the labour market and the 2013 agreement on labour market reforms. First results are not expected before the end of May.

Further evaluations are expected on the 2012 agreement on joint decision-making (paritarisme), the 2006 agreement on diversity and the 2009 agreement on the governance of joint management of social security. Consultations are scheduled on youth employment and employment classifications. Finally, preparations are likely to start on the renegotiation of the agreement on unemployment insurance, which is expected to be launched in 2016. Social partners also expressed the need to discuss the future of national bargaining more generally after the failure of negotiations on modernising social dialogue in January.
