Event background
Based on Eurofound research which has mapped housing problems in the EU and policies to address them, expert Hans Dubois presents Eurofound’s most recent data and findings. This off-the-record briefing is a chance for a group of up to 30 participants to engage directly with Eurofound’s expert and get behind the statistics and analysis in an informal setting. The presentation with comparisons across Europe is followed by an exchange of ideas and insights with participants.
Publication: Unaffordable and inadequate housing in Europe
Housing has emerged as one of Europe’s top challenges with about one in ten European households in cities being overburdened by housing and energy costs. In all countries, housing has become unaffordable for many and is in short supply. The housing crisis is also delaying and preventing young people from leaving the family home.
A photo gallery is available.
This Dublin briefing is an important way for Eurofound to hear from its Irish stakeholders and their concerns related to housing as well as sharing plans for upcoming research. It is also an opportunity to network with peers in the fields of social affairs, industrial relations, employment and working conditions.
For any queries about the briefing, please contact Cristina Arigho.
