This conference, taking place in Barcelona on 19–20 October, will discuss the changes that are taking place in the labour market, as well as the measures that companies, social partners and public employment services must adopt to boost jobseekers’ employability to meet the current and future needs of the labour market. A key focus of the discussion will be on skills, creating a forum for the exchange of best practice.

    The conference will discuss the changes that are taking place in the labour market, as well as the measures that companies, social partners and public employment services must adopt to boost jobseekers’ employability to meet the current and future needs of the labour market. A key focus of the discussion will be on skills, creating a forum for the exchange of best practice.

    Participants will include representatives of the EU institutions and agencies, the European Network of Public Employment Services, the European social partners, as well as experts and national representatives. 

    Eurofound Executive Director Ivailo Kalfin will participate in a panel looking at what skills will be required for employments in a changing world, and changing global labour market. The panel will be moderated by Stepan Olsson, Deputy Director-General Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion.
