5 October 2010 - 6 October 2010
Event background
5 - 6 October 2010, Ghent, Belgium
This conference, organised by the Belgian Presidency and supported by the European Commission, aims to demonstrate the benefits of 'positive transition' - a central concept in the new job market paradigm. Positive transition involves identifying the factors that bolster the success of transitions experienced by workers and also examining the various tools liable to strengthen these mechanisms. The conference will also present the indicators enabling the analysis of transitions.
Four sessions held over two days will be devoted to various elements of positive transition:
Quality of work as a key element in the quality of transitions
Lifelong training and transitions
The de-segmentation of the job market
Instruments supporting a transition to and within employment
Eurofound Research Manager Greet Vermeylen will participate in this conference with a presentation on 'How do workers experience quality in work and transitions?'. Read more about this conference.
